Do you want to build software that makes sustainability measurable?
At GSES, we help companies make sustainability measurable and actionable. Through our platform and the Nature Impact Score (NIS), retailers and manufacturers gain clear insights into the environmental impact of their products. This enables them to make better decisions and communicate their sustainability performance with confidence.
Our platform is growing rapidly, and so is the demand for smart, scalable solutions. That’s where you come in.
Jouw rol
As a Software Developer, you will help build the core of GSES: the platform that enables our clients to analyse product data and gain insights into their environmental impact.
You will develop new features, improve existing functionalities, and contribute ideas on how to prepare our platform for its next phase of growth.
You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll work closely with colleagues from IT, data, and sustainability in an international team, based in the heart of Rotterdam.
What Will You Do?
• Develop new features and improve existing functionalities
• Work on processing large volumes of product data and environmental impact calculations
• Further develop reporting tools and results pages within the platform
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Contribute to discussions on architecture, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate with colleagues to translate client needs into technical solutions
Who Are You?
• You have at least 3 years of experience as a Software Developer
• You have experience with technologies such as Laravel, Livewire Volt, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS, and SQL
• You work in a structured way, have a solution-oriented mindset, and take ownership of your work
• You communicate clearly, including with non-technical colleagues
• You have excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; Dutch is a plus
Nice to Have:
• Experience with data-intensive applications or SaaS platforms
• Experience with Git, WordPress, and Google Cloud Platform
• An interest in sustainability
What Do We Offer?
• A full-time position (36–40 hours per week)
• Attractive employment benefits, including a public transport card (OV-chipkaart) and a MacBook
• The opportunity to make a real impact on the ongoing development of our platform
• An international team and an office in the heart of Rotterdam
• Meaningful work with a clear purpose: making sustainability measurable and actionable
